Emerging Market Focus was approached by a South African retail
giant to map its international expansion strategy. We conducted
detailed in-market analysis of key states' retail sectors to
formulate bespoke market entry strategies. This project spanned
three continents - Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Business case two - Mining
We assisted a JSE-listed mining supply chain firm to position
its business vis-à-vis China - to counter competitively
priced imports and tailor a market entry strategy into China's
mining sector. EMF contributed to our client's understanding
of China's market dynamics and enabled it to formulate strategy
around it, both defensively and offensively.

Our Africa Projects Team conducted in-market research on behalf
of a FTSE-listed insurance firm in Angola and Mozambique.
We evaluated market prospects for certain insurance products
and targeted potential venture partners in these African emerging
